Pickler was born Kellie dawn Pickler on June 28, 1986. The young woman had a troubled childhood. At the age of two Her mother left in order to escape an abusive relationship. Then, in 1995, she re-entered into the world of Pickler and was granted custody. However, it was not an enjoyable experience. Pickler's grandparents raised her from 12 until she reached adulthood. Pickler was busy with raising her younger siblings in the absence of her parents. She admitted she didn't have time to study and started learning how to be a homemaker from a very young age. Pickler was a cheerleader in the middle and high school she attended. North Stanly High School in 2004. Pickler was also a contestant for a beauty pageant. She was once named Miss Stanly County.
